International expansion with Shopify Markets

Lack of flexibility, cumbersome workflows and multiple domains - Yaasa's e-commerce system was reaching its limits, especially with its international growth.

The aim of the project was to manage the various shops and the brand's content blog from a single platform. The existing shop structure was to be kept as lean as possible, so that the individual shops could be rolled out internationally in the best possible way.

Healthier and more productive at the office

Founded in 2016, Yaasa set out to change the way we work. Yaasa makes height adjustable desks and other office furniture that adapts perfectly to the user's needs.

This gives the company greater convenience and productivity in the workplace. In order to best position itself internationally, Yaasa was looking for a shop system that offered room for flexibility and growth, yet was easy to use.

Migration

With three content top-level domains and seven different shop subdomains, the e-commerce system had reached its limits. A shop system migration was the way to go. Shopify Plus provided Yaasa with a technically fast and straightforward solution. At the same time, the migration resulted in a 50% increase in global shop traffic within a very short period of time.

Yaasa relies on Shopify Markets to best position itself internationally. We were able to migrate all existing shops and the content blog to one domain. Due to the reduced workload, time to market was improved by almost 300%. Shopify Markets provides Yaasa with the right solution and the flexibility to continue growing internationally.

Before the relaunch, many of the brand's processes were handled by a 3PL service provider. By connecting to Shopify Plus, some manual processes could be fully automated after the migration. As a result, some processes can be standardised across the team, saving work, time and, most importantly, money.

Summary

By migrating to Shopify Plus, both the individual shops and the blog could be moved to one domain. For Yaasa, this has meant a significant saving in time and effort, as well as maximum flexibility.

Thanks to the unique user experience, the bounce rate has also improved by 10%.
